Lincoln Dreamship Tale Echoes in Surratt Trial
In the Surratt trial Mr Pierrepont mentions a portentous dream Lincoln had the night before his assassination. The dream, relayed by Lincoln, described a ship drawn by an irresistible current toward a dark abyss and sinking. Lincoln reportedly had similar premonitions before major Civil War battles.
