Large crowd gathered two miles below the city to watch The Noffs sorrel mare race Richard Overton’s three year old colt. Start delayed from 3 to 4 30 pm. Overton’s mount led by about 60 feet in the quarter heat. Noff’s mare ran well but couldn’t catch the winner.
