Comcast to acquire Time Warner systems in Baytown area
Comcast plans to take over the Time Warner Baytown franchise and continue offering major channels with potential niche differences. The transition includes preserving certain email addresses post transfer, maintaining local Baytown service, and a phased start mid 2007 with no immediate customer changes. Comcast will assume about 1.4 billion in third party debt and reach 790,000 basic video subscribers plus 480,000 digital video, 430,000 Internet, and 90,000 digital voice customers.
