The 1955-66 Lee College student body will meet at 10 30 a m Thursday in the auditorium to hear scholarship winners and election plans announced Dean Walter Rundell opening the program and introducing association officers Nancy Tapp Jerry Kovar and Wynona Montgomery are the scholarship recipients all three top freshmen from Robert E Lee Barbers Hill will reserve Citizens National Bank and Trust Co awards based on highest grades Schedule notes include a closed library union cafeteria and gym during the event
Baytown painters union and Baytown Contractors Association approve a two year contract raising wages in two steps starting Oct 1. The agreement sets brush melt rates at 3.73 per hour for residential projects and 4.03 for commercial work. Local Union 945 represents 63 members.
