Anahuac VFD adopts new governing rules
The Anahuac Volunteer Fire Department voted 11 to 1 with one abstention to adopt a new constitution separating oversight from operations. An executive board will govern finances while a special election will choose officers and a membership representative. New membership categories allow reserve and associate members, with reinstatement for former members meeting current rules. The changes, binding on administrators under the Open Meetings Act, are viewable at AVED station Chambers County Clerk and online at the department site.
