The Goose Creek CISD Board of Trustees approved a tax rate increase, raising the total to 1.43189 per 100 of assessed value from 1.38679. The new rate allocates 1.04 for maintenance and operations and 0.39189 for debt service, reflecting 2013 bond obligations and three new elementary campuses.
The Baytown West Chambers County Economic Development Foundation and Lee College will host an Industrial Expansion Symposium and Luncheon on Tuesday October 7 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rundell Hall on the campus. The program costs 25 dollars. Reservations via 281-425-6552 or cmorris@fee.edu.
