Heavy west rain and east drought drive widespread sneezing and itching across Texas this fall. In East Texas scarce rain fuels drought resistant weeds and pollen. Dr. Gary Gross of Dallas notes high pollen counts and potent seeds worsen symptoms through November. Almost everywhere you go you hear the sneezing.
Teppco spokesman Rick Rainey said all lines will be back in service this weekend as crews finish repairing the Teppco pipeline rupture on the west side of Main Street north of I 10. A detour on Palm Street keeps drivers from passing through Main while residents displaced by the incident may return home once power is restored.
