Robert Sanders Wins Four Year Wiley College Scholarship
Robert Sanders Jr. of 2810 Broad McNair Station won a four year athletic scholarship to Wiley College in Marshall. A 1963 Carver High graduate, he played football and ran track beginning in 1961 under Coach Johnny Peoples. He won the 100 yard dash and helped Carver win the 1961 62 state championship sprint relay. Other Wiley freshmen include Earl Lee and Willie Moore.
