Policy on Transfer of Students Explored by Baytown Board
Baytown school officials explained a plan to charge La Porte up to 200 per transferred student and noted 48 approved transfers into Baytown with 11 actually enrolled at Carver High. The board weighed a systemwide policy, while Supt. George Gentry argued for uniform rules rather than targeting La Porte Negro students.
