District volleyball heats up with Lee and Crosby tied for first
In District 19-4A Lee and Crosby sit at 3-0 atop the standings after Friday night. Lee defeated Goose Creek Memorial in three sets 25-19 25-17 as Alicia Nava praised the team’s timely cohesion. Jackie Perez 12 kills, Candace Grosjean 11, and Jenny Epperson 38 assists led the Ganders. Goose Creek Memorial’s Deannia Kincade had 11 kills and Erika Hernandez 12 assists. Crosby beat Barbers Hill in four sets 26-24 25-23 23-25 25-22 as both teams prepare for Galena Park and North Forest matchups.
