Minerva Study Club Plans September Meeting
The Minerva Study Club will meet at 16 a.m. on September 28 at the Houston Light and Power Co with Mrs. J G Lillard in charge. Deacon Jones led the program on notable early area figures and Bagland Orphanage for Civil War veterans children. Sixteen members and two guests attended the first meeting of the club year.

Tri Fi Neighborhood Scouts Hold Meeting
Gwen Harding earned a First Class Girl Scout award for outstanding achievements. The Daisy Chain Plan was explained by Mrs Renfro, Daisy director for Trinity Bay District. Red Cross First Aid course announced for Sept 24 and 27 at First Christian Church. Court-of-honor and Cadette workshops planned in October. A song and ceremonies workshop for leaders set for Sept 28 at Westminster Church.

Baytown School Food Service Association will meet at 2 45 p m October 8 at the Community Building. Mrs Lucille Waddell reviewed Im OK You re OK at the September meeting. National School Lunch Week runs October 14 to 20 with a special menu on October 17 including barbecue corn salad bun yellow cake and milk.
