Dust concerns spark public hearing on HPP project near Royal Purple Raceway
The Baytown area hears from state officials and local representatives as the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality weighs a permit for an undeveloped HPP facility amid claims of dust drifting onto Royal Purple Raceway. Royal Purple says dust from a concrete pile halted racing last July and could jeopardize NHRA sanctions. TCEQ probes, while local leaders urge public input and legal resolution to the dispute.
