Mary Hayes Stayton, 93, Baytown resident dies
Mary Hayes Stayton aged 93 of Baytown died September 16 2012. Born May 3 1919 in Beaumont she lived in Devers 50 years then moved to Baytown in 1974. She was a Devers High School salutatorian and active in First Baptist Devers Memorial Baptist Baytown and church groups. Survived by daughters Carolyn Powell Linda Burrell and Gayle Phillips grandchildren great grandchildren and a brother. Preceded in death by husband Howard Stayton and others. He is survived by his mother Marshell and Jeff Simpson fiancée Hailey Burns daughter Makenzie Burns sisters Kristen Rascoe Yates Lesleigh Simpson grandmother Charlotte Watkins and many other relatives.
