Pilot Club Baytown Walk to End Alzheimer's Near Oct 15

Pilot Club of Baytown hosts the annual Walk to End Alzheimer's from 8 to 10 a.m. at Bayland Park near the Fred Hartman Bridge on Oct. 13. The event welcomes multiple local clubs and sponsors with T shirts for donations, teams urged, and proceeds benefiting local brain health programs.

Walk For Freedom aims to end modern slavery in Baytown

On October 15 Baytown joins a global Walk For Freedom event organized by A21. The Baytown walk at First Baptist Church 505 Rollingbrook Drive starts 8:30 a.m. with check in 7 to 8 a.m. The event seeks to raise funds and awareness about 27 million people enslaved worldwide, aiming to $1 million to aid 2,000 survivors. Participants wear all black in a single-file line symbolizing the voiceless.
