Baytown Health League Clinic in limbo after Oct 1

Baytown faces possible loss of funds for its welfare clinic as the City Council awaits a decision from the Harris County Hospital District on financing. Council members meet with district officials at Ben Taub hospital seeking a satellite clinic or a $15,000 year aid. The district rejected an immediate satellite but may respond by letter soon. Anahuac Boy Selected for National FFA Band

Anahuac High School senior Kenneth Leda has been chosen as one of two Texans to play in the National FFA Band at the national convention in Kansas City Oct 4 19. A first clarinet in the senior band, Leda earned the honor for his musical ability. The band will perform at general sessions and lead the grand parade opening the American Royal Livestock Show.
