Four arrested in Houston for counterfeit checks and fake IDs ring
Houston police say four people ran a counterfeit check and fake identity operation using stolen IDs and public records. They used legitimate driver license numbers to create phony documents and seized a client list of nearly 200 victims across 25 states. The ringleader, 65-year-old Robert Lyles, was arrested earlier this month during a raid. Two dozen others identified as victims include hundreds of customers.
