Public input is planned Sept 20 and Sept 25 with districts accepting comments by mail phone or email, while board member remarks emphasize trustee responsibility for the map.
The Goose Creek Board of Trustees reviews two similar rezoning plans affecting neighborhoods including Julia Ann Villa Abbe Hunters Chase and Country Meadows. Option 2 shifts Archer Road south area students to Sterling while Option 1 routes Crosby Cedar Bayou east to Goose Creek Memorial, with Timber Ridge Knylawood as exceptions. Boundary details for Lee High School and Sterling are described with roads and streets.
Goose Creek ISD will offer two public forums on rezoning for junior and high schools. The first is Thursday at the Robert E. Lee High School auditorium and the second on Tuesday Sept 25 at the Ross S. Sterling auditorium both starting at 6 30 p m. Citizens can view options on the GCCISD site and provide input via email phone or mail to Dr. Toby York Deputy Superintendent.
