Baytonians Seek Alaska Cabin Life In Remote Chitina Area
Baytown Sun photographer Ed Malcik and Greg Baker joined Billy Barnett and Johnny Cavaretta in a summer trek to a remote log cabin near Chitina Alaska. The group aims to live there through winter and beyond seeking land and selfsufficiency while adapting to isolation and harsh conditions. They plan to rely on canned goods bear protection and fur profits as they await the Alaska Pipeline and yearround remote living challenges.
