Lee tennis previews rebuilding Ganders season in 22-5A
Coach Brandon Funderburg faces a thin, mostly beginner squad as Lee High School’s boys and girls tennis programs attempt to rebuild after significant graduations. Senior Tyler Landreneau and Salvador Garcia lead the boys while Sydney Wade Kristin Spence and Baylee Dixon front the girls. Dixon and Wade have moved up from last year’s no 2 and no 3 spots, with mixed doubles seen as a potential strength due to Dixon and Garcia’s early progress. The team opened with a 19 0 loss to Sterling as they strive to establish foundations amid a daunting district and new UIL safety protocols.
