New Slurry Seal Surfacing Boosts East Harris Roads
Harris County Commissioner Jamie Bray reports a new slurry seal program using a traveling cold mix plant to resurf ace about 50 miles in Precinct 2 since January. One machine lays while the other loads, cutting traffic disruption and enabling rapid reentry. The emulsion allows traffic to be released within an hour, reducing dust and improving shell and asphalt surfaces.

Baytown police investigated two major traffic crashes and five minor incidents on Wednesday. A 15 year old and a 17 year old suffered minor injuries in a three car crash on Garth Road. the 17 year old was a passenger in the other vehicle. A 11 year old boy was taken to Gulf Coast Hospital after a collision on Bob Smith Road involving a car driven by Judy Dunn.
