Wismer Distributing moved from Baytown after nearly six decades due to zoning limits and a failed Baytown site. The company chose 6300 N Main Street but the land lay outside city limits. After evaluating two I-10 sites in Baytown, the firm settled 15 minutes away in Mont Belvieu where the council rezoned the property to freeway commercial.
