Playpen Post Office Idea Aimed at Safe Shopping
In Baytown a 70 year old post office building housed a unique safety zone for rambunctious children. Postmaster Flo McElhanny designed a fenced play area with small chairs to corral kids while parents buy stamps. The idea inspired by the Goose Creek post office reflects local efforts to ease shopping hazards and keep pedestrians safe.
