Goose Creek trustees approve 22750 settlement in PSF case
Goose Creek school trustees approved a 22750 settlement in a suit against Chambers County and Security State Bank over misappropriation of Permanent School Fund proceeds. Anahuac Superintendent Kay Barnhart noted funds come from land leases in West Texas and distributed to districts like Barbers Hill 39 percent Anahuac 28 percent and East Chambers 20 percent. The board also selected architecture firms for 2005 bond projects including BGK Architects Corgan PBA Schools Studio Kirksey Architecture RWS Architects SHW Group and VLK Architects for multiple school renovations and builds.
