Six violent deaths in Harris County over holiday weekend
Six people died violently in Harris County during the Labor Day weekend, three homicides and three drownings. A 12 year old Baytown boy, Victor Gonzales, feared drowned after falling from a shrimp boat near Five Mile Pass. Other fatalities include a Houston man shot during a poker game, a man charged with murder, two drownings in Calveston West Bay, and two traffic deaths outside the county.

Child Collapses On DeZavala Playground
A DeZavala elementary pupil, 10 year old Arthur Renteria Jr, collapsed on the school playground Tuesday morning. He was diagnosed with a heart murmur and admitted to Gulf Coast Hospital after grabbing a post and losing consciousness. His father Mer cey Renteria Jr stated no prior heart trouble.
