Funeral services for Delmar Vickie Bordeaux, 61, of Channelview, will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Paul A. Lee Ga Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Henckell officiating. Bordeaux formerly lived in Baytown, moved to Channelview 75 years ago, and was active in Masonic work with C. A. Former Lodge 1304 AF&AM. Survivors include his wife Bessie Cleveland, two daughters in Houston and Horstor, plus three stepdaughters and other relatives.
Miami AP reports Hurricane Betsy moving southwest at 20 mph well out to sea with no current danger to land. Forecasters say a pedestrian was struck by a car in Houston area while walking near Street Road. injuries include a broken leg and other fractures. Investigations continue as hurricane activity remains offshore and offshore readings are adjusted.
