The Baytown Chamber of Commerce board of directors meeting was not held at noon due to Labor Day and is reset for noon Monday September 11. Robert L. Gillette notified members. Rotary Guests include the 1961 Robert E. Lee football players visiting the Rotary Club Wednesday at the Tower with each Rotarian choosing a guest. The Baytown Amateur Radio Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Civilian Defense Building 3308 Minnesota.

A Baytown group formed The Texas 100 Corp to construct a modern motor hotel. Norman Hargrave is president with A. J. Smith Jr. as vice president John Pinckney Henderson secretary and E C Kimmons treasurer. Stockholders include W F Miller Jack P Henderson Dr Kenneth Ford and others. The group has an option on a three acre tract on Highway 146 near East Texas Avenue intersection. Land negotiations were handled by W W Busch representing owners.

Channelview Native Delmar Vickie Bordeaux Rites Held

Funeral services for Delmar Vickie Bordeaux, 61, of Channelview, will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Paul A. Lee Ga Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Henckell officiating. Bordeaux formerly lived in Baytown, moved to Channelview 75 years ago, and was active in Masonic work with C. A. Former Lodge 1304 AF&AM.
