Tariffs on Chinese imports take effect amid trade war
President Trump announced 15 percent tariffs on $112 billion of Chinese goods kick in Sunday, targeting watches TVs shoes diapers and meats. He says the move puts the U S in an incredible negotiating position while noting consumers will face higher prices as companies pass along costs. The tit-for-tat dispute has spanned more than a year with limited progress despite talks.
