Forgery Charge Filed Against F G Anderson
A CHARGE of forgery and passing was filed Wednesday against F G Anderson after he cashed a check for 31.25 at the Big Chief grocery on West Main. The complaint was filed in Justice of the Peace Roscoe Zierin's cork. Baytown residents will travel to Lufkin Thursday for the funeral of their uncle Ernest Jones who died of a heart attack Tuesday night. Jones had just been reelected to a third term as Angelina County commissioner. The Deer Park board nears signing a million dollar junior high contract. Marea Construction Co. of Mounton submitted the low base bid of 052,888 for the six class room building. Robber Sought After Bank Heist in Harris County
Harris County officers search Bottoms East Harris and along highways for a bank robber who held up the Mumbie Bank at noon Tuesday, escaping with about $18,000. Bank staff and a supply salesman were confronted, a shotgun used, and suspects fled in a black car. Local officers and highway patrol joined a wide area hunt into Hambley.
