Barbers Hill ISD trustees approve an appraised value limitation for Enterprise Products to build an NGL fractionator valued at 235 million. Taxes rise during construction in 2011 2012. once operational in 2013 the facility is capped at 30 million for eight years, with the district receiving 600000 annually as a payment in lieu of taxes.

Scammers pose as The Sun to steal from Baytown readers
The Baytown Sun reports an attempted scam Wednesday in which an unknown woman phoned customers claiming to be from the newspaper and asking for credit card details to keep classified ads running. Angie Pagel, the advertising director, says several customers alerted the paper and staff warned others. See scam page 3A.
