Baytown PetCo hosts Howl-o-Ween with pet parade and contest
Newly opened Baytown PetCo hosted a Howl-o-Ween event on Garth Road featuring trick or treating a costume parade judged by Anna's Linens staff. Winner Max a pirate dog earned a first place ribbon and a PetCo gift card. runners up Thunderhead and Toby the tabby received ribbons and gifts. Early voting runs 7 am to 7 pm this week ending Friday at the Mockingbird Room Community Center 2407 Market Street. Voter guides are provided by the League of Women Voters of the Houston Area at the Sterling Library GCCISD high schools and Lee College Library with contact info for LWV.

Megan Renee Adams, a Goose Creek Memorial junior, was named Miss Highlands after the Highlands Jamboree parade showcased nine contestants. Trick or Treat Carnival Draws Baytown Families
Baytown marked its annual Halloween Carnival at the Community Center on Market St drawing trick or treaters and families for a morning of costumes, game booths, food, and candy. Baytown two churches merge in official ceremony today
The St. Pauls United Methodist and St. Marks churches in Baytown unite in a 9 30 a m ceremony at St. Pauls starting the deconsecration of St. Pauls and relocating membership and property to St. Marks. District Superintendent Don Waddleton will oversee the merger at 791 Bayway Drive before the St. Pauls group moves to 3811 North Main for the welcoming and official transfer. The two congregations, with roots dating back to 1957 and 1926 respectively, will unify to form one church network under the South District Texas Annual Conference.
