Baytown Planning Commission Rebuffs Curbs and Gutters Exemption
Baytown Planning Commission denies a request to skip curbs and gutters for a 20 acre Arcadian Gardens development and keeps a storm sewer exemption off the table. Five commissioners present with two abstentions. Kenneth Vornsand of Vornsand Enterprises argued the exemption to avoid curb and gutter costs, while Wayne Hanson and Bob Frysinger supported denying it and preserving policy. Richey D. Evans, formerly of River Oaks Bank, elected vice president and cashier of First National Bank Baytown, with a background at Post Oak Bank and Bank of Commerce Corpus Christi, and a Kingsville Texas A and I graduate plans to lead Magic Circle Optimist Club and NABAC Baytown connections.
