Home on Third Street Mont Belvieu A 1956 Move Story
In 1956 a Mont Belvieu couple bought a third street lot for 750 dollars by pooling retirement funds and a coin jar. They obtained a free moving house with a $600 garage, moved it, then rebuilt interiors with neighbors helping. They painted, tiled, and redid walls, finishing in December with two children turning five and three.
