Homeowner Led Robbers to Electronics in Barrett Station Heist
At about 1 a.m. Tuesday two robbers with handguns forced a Barrett Station resident to guide them inside a home on Zinn Drive where chevy Silverado, computers, and a television were stolen. A second man was forced to lie outside. The truck was later found near Telephone Road in Houston. No injuries reported.

Knife fight report near Fawndale Way ends without charges
Police were called to the 4800 block of Fawndale Way about 11 30 p.m. Tuesday to a knife fight. Upon arrival no participants pressed charges and with no life threatening injuries the Harris County District Attorney’s office declined to file charges.

Break-in at Bay Area Driving School on Market Street
Police report a burglary at the Bay Area Driving School in the 1700 block of Market Street late Monday or early Tuesday, with about 40 dollars in change stolen. A Ryobi weed cutter valued at 124 dollars was reported stolen from a storage area in a building in the 700 block of Gaillard on Tuesday. A separate entry involved a person climbing through a bedroom window to enter a home.

Leggett Held Without Bail In Chambers County Case
Pamela Leggett, widow of Gilbert Ortez, is held in federal custody without bail after a Wednesday appearance before U S Magistrate Judge Mary Milloy. A grand jury indicted her on six counts tied to the July 13, 2009 standoff that killed Ortez and deputy Shane Detwiler, with Leggett accused of helping stockpile over 118 explosive devices at the residence. Her next court date is December 9 and trial date December 19.

Drug charges from traffic stop and arrest on crack cocaine
Police stopped a vehicle on Garth Road at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. The driver had no insurance and a suspended license while a passenger held 12 grams of marijuana. both men were jailed. Earlier, a Baytown man was arrested on East Foyle at 4:45 p.m. for two grams of crack cocaine.

A white 1999 Ford F 350 with a welding machine attached was stolen between 4 and 5 a.m. Tuesday from the motel parking lot in the 7200 block of Garth Road. Investigators seek witnesses and camera footage. The vehicle and machine were not recovered.
