Jump for the Rose founder saves lives through skydiving
In 2009, breast cancer survivor Sparks received a free mammogram at San Jacinto Hospital and treatment at The Rose, a nonprofit that covered her surgeon costs. She founded Jump for the Rose to fundraise with skydiving, raising over 11 thousand dollars first year and aiming for 20 thousand this year. She partners with The Rose president Dorothy Weston-Gibbons, met Laura Bush, and uses e-cigarettes to quit smoking as she promotes cancer awareness. She inspires others, skydives across multiple drop zones, and continues fundraising with The Rose to help uninsured women receive care. Call 713-816-0185 or visit JumpForTheRose.org for more.
