Arcadia Theater Nostalgia Precedes the Bay in Local Film History
The Arcadia predates the Bay Theater and continued operating for years after the Bay opened. The author recalls favorite Arcadia memories from cowboy serials to first runs, noting titles like Captain from Castile, Boys Town, Sergeant York, and The Great Dictator. The venue offered concerts, talent shows, and even a wedding on stage, reflecting a vibrant community hub from the Thirties through later years.
