Baytown Resident Robert Steck 45 Died In Hospital
Robert Francis Steck, 45, of Cove Road Baytown died at 4 30 a m Monday in a Baytown hospital. He was an operator for Texas Eastern and a World War II veteran. Survived by wife LaWana Steck two sons Bobby and David and daughter Ann Marie Steck all of Baytown and brother Edward Steck Paducah Ky. Awake at 7 30 p m Monday at Earthman Chapel with Rev Joseph Fertitta officiating. Body to be shipped 3 40 p m Tuesday to Walthers Funeral Home Cape Girardeau Ma for burial.

Mrs. Margaret Ann Wood, 87, of 142 Weaver Baytown resident for 16 years, died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday in a Baytown hospital. Native of Arkansas she moved to live with daughter and son in law Roy J. Holmes and wife in Baytown. She leaves five other daughters and two sons. Body shipped to Brannon and Phillips Funeral Home in Lamesa for services at 3 p.m. Tuesday with interment in Memorial Cemetery in Lamesa.

Houston Girl Injured In Auto Mishap Here
Gloria Miendez Saldivar of Houston escaped serious injury when her car flipped near the Highway 146 and Spur 201 intersection in a one day accident at 1:45 a.m. The vehicle left the road, rolled twice, then landed upright and she received emergency treatment at a Baytown hospital before being released.

Brenda Chery Lusk aged 2 percent escaped serious injury Sunday afternoon when she darted from a yard at 1112 Sunset into a car’s path. She suffered a lacerated lip and skinned leg. Officer Ronnie Cooper investigated. driver Robert William McVae of 517 West Sterling faced no charges.

Thomas D. Greer, 39, of 1503 Florida, Baytown, escaped serious injury when his car lost control on a wet pavement at 11 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Bayou Bridge on Tri City Beach Road. Deputies Harry Glenn and Willie Kigore investigated the crash.
