Dommerts sweep Rice Festival cook off in Baytown
Baytown couple Richard and Melissa Dommert dominated the Rice Festival cook-off last weekend. Richard took first in salads and third in miscellaneous while Melissa earned second in miscellaneous and third in salads plus an honorary mention for multiple recipes. Melissa, a Kroger Bakery employee and returning Grand Champion, won Texas Snowballs earning the silver platter and Most Original trophy, as Richard showcased Tasty Texas Tostada Treats.
