Chambers County adopts mail voter registration in 1969
Anahuac Texas Chambers County plans to register voters mainly by mail in 1969. Sherwood Blair, County Tax Assessor-Collector, says forms will be mailed with property tax statements to property owners and to previous voters who were nonproperty owners. Citizens are urged to return forms promptly to start updating voter cards, with registrations previously done at substations or courthouse. A plastic voter registration card will replace the old receipt this year, improving convenience for voters and officials.
