As home and business owners lament Hurricane Ike losses, children emerge as the quiet victims. In Goose Creek Barbers Hill and Anahuac school has resumed, yet families seek community support to help their youngsters cope with the storm’s impact.
ExxonMobil donated 500000 to the United Way of Baytown Area triggering a local response. The United Way reserved over 200000 for families with school aged children and partnered with school districts to disburse gift cards after officials filed reports with the United Way.
