Severe storms flood Houston area with tornadoes and heavy rain
Weather systems from remnants of Nora and Olaf triggered tornadoes across the Houston area, damaging structures from a middle school to churches and homes. Baytown reports 3 to 4.5 inches of rain, with heaviest downpours near the Baytown Nature Center. Beaumont and Galveston counties issued flash flood warnings as several rainfall records fell.
