Baytown council to vote on street bond plan and land purchase

Angel Brothers Bid Questions Delay Garth Road Project
Two bids were opened for a storm sewer and detention pond project. Angel Brothers proposed 476,844 dollars while Conrad Construction named 501,672 dollars. Engineers said dirt removal could cost 2.73 per cubic yard, but Angel Brothers said 7 dollars per cubic yard. The pond needs 41,000 tons of dirt. Since Angel Brothers cannot install water and sanitary sewer lines, the board will reassign the project to Dan's Plumbing at Angel Brothers’ bid price.
