Demura family loses home to early morning fire
After a power surge, the Demuras returned to a blazing house in Old River-Winfree. The fire destroyed their 15 year home, uninsurable, with few keepsakes saved. Neighbors, friends, and local officials organized aid, while the community supported the couple and their dog Dallas, saved from the flames.
