Death near miss in Caracas morgue shocks reader
A Venezuelan man Carlos Camejo, 33, was declared dead after a motorcycle crash and sent to a Caracas morgue where he woke during an autopsy. A hospital paperwork mix up sent him to the morgue instead of the exam room. The incident recalls a classmate’s drowning at Garner State Park and a personal reflection on funerals from the author.
