Baytonian Funeral Services Held in Galveston

Alyice C. Gonzales dies in a Galveston hospital. Funeral services are set for Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Galveston. A wake is planned for Monday night at Strode-Armstrong Funeral Home. Burial will be in Houston Veterans Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, seven children, four stepchildren, six brothers and four sisters.

Ex Baytonian Rising in Music Fringe in Illinois

Barney Goodman, once of Baytown, is gaining notice in the Illinois music scene. He plays guitar three nights weekly at Club Chalet in Murphysboro and will appear nightly at the Ramada Inn in Carbondale. He is the son of K. H. Goodman of Baytown and Mrs. C. R. Ford of St. Louis. He, his wife Judith, and daughter Melissa plan a Baytown visit in late December.
