An 83 year old Baytown resident was duped by a man posing as a utility worker during a staged gas leak scare. He entered her home, turned on faucets for about 30 minutes, and stole five pieces of jewelry valued at $11000 before fleeing in a tan truck. Police urge verifying credentials and calling 911 for safety. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male 30 to 35, in a reflective vest.
