Richardson Water Rail Barge Terminal Proposed in Baytown Sparks Debate
Baytown officials weigh a Cedar Bayou barge terminal for short seas shipping from Port of Houston to Cedar Crossing. The plan aims to reduce trucks on roads, cut diesel emissions, and protect bayou areas while drawing opposition over location, permits, and environmental concerns. A public meeting is slated for December 4 at Roseland Park Pavilion.
