Funeral services are scheduled for Enrique Silva of Beaumont and a group of Baytown area residents. Miss Mollye South 8 of 228 Wooster died at 10:20 p.m. Friday in a Baytown hospital. She is buried in Jacksonville Cemetery after services at 4 p.m. Sunday at Paul A. Lee Funeral Home. She moved from Jacksonville to Baytown in 1950 to live with sister and brother in law Mr and Mrs A J Blythe. Survived by another sister Miss Verla South Houston and several nephews and nieces. She was a Wooster Baptist Church member.
Attorney Guy C. Jackson VII, Trinity River Authority board member from Anahuac, was chosen for a two year term on the TRA Executive Committee. Dallas lawyer Avery May was named TRA president with Sue Hiagl of Fairfield as vice president and John M. Scott of Fort Worth as committee chair. The executive panel expanded from five to seven members. Other members include Amon G. Carter Jr. of Fort Worth Paul H. Cauthan Jr. of Trinity and Roy E. Pitts of Dallas.
Baytown police report a 19 year old man robbed Super Duper at 321 W. Gulf about 8 p.m. taking roughly $100 after threatening to kill a clerk while wielding an automatic pistol.
Midland Texas police use a grant funded crime prevention van to travel the 17 county Permian Basin region. Sgt. Fred Johnson leads outreach to sheriff departments and police agencies providing programs and assistance to curb crime.
Rose Mary Woods testified she heard a tape about Francesca Tenthold asking friends to cancel a large Austin fundraiser due to Nixon urging gasoline station closures on weekends. Market drops cited as investor disappointment in Nixon energy message. At least 58 people died during Thanksgiving period, 38 in traffic. Lawrence Harvey dies at 45 after long illness. Memorial service for Mrs. Bundage and Mrs. Durst held at Stoneham Methodist Church in Stoneham with Rev. Hebert Stroman officiating. Survivors include three daughters and six sons, with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jones Funeral Home in Navasota handles arrangements.
A Baytown woman, 28 year old Beth Carol Mitchell of W. Cleveland, was found dead in her bed at about 4 15 p.m. Sunday with a .357 Magnum on the pillow beside her. Police sent her body to Harris County morgue for an autopsy. Her husband, Emmett Lynn Mitchell, reported the incident.

Investigation continued Monday into a Saturday fire at a Channelview home that killed Bobby Gibbs 24 and injured two housemates Ronald Goodman and Frederick Johnson both 26. The six room brick and frame structure was destroyed.
