Pickup Crash Kills Galena Park Pair in Crosby

A Galena Park man Henry Calvin age 41 and his 90 year old mother Dora Calvin died when their pickup was struck by a Southern Pacific freight train at a Crosby crossing on FM 2100. The engineer said the lights and whistle were active. calvin apparently failed to see or hear the approaching train. Autopses were ordered. bodies sent to Harris County morgue. Pollution Fighters 1966 began its conservation effort after World War II due to a lack of government pollution controls. Turpin recounted that there were no official guidelines, so the group created its own standards and tasked itself with meeting them. The first step was a thorough study of Bay town Refinery waste disposal facilities and related issues, completed in 17, leading to a five year program for water pollution abatement.
