Walk on Pilot Club leads Baytown Alzheimer's Walk 2016
Pilot ClubBaytown members and volunteers joined City workers and constables on Oct 15 at Bayland Park to kick off the 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer's. Mayor DonCarlos praised supporters, noted his mother's struggle with the disease, and led the crowd along the water path. The event drew Telemundo coverage and raised about $58,230 of a $60,000 goal, with donations still being accepted through early December. Proceeds support the Greater Houston Alzheimer's Association research and services in Harris and surrounding counties.
