Fire destroys Ellis home after Ike flood recovery
One mile from Burnet Bay Elving and Erline Ellis faced Katrina Ike flood damage to their 1961 house. Four feet of water wrecked walls and keepsakes as they lived in a tent while insured and FEMA aided. Their son returned from Iraq to help but a Nov eight kitchen fire leveled the rebuilt structure.
