Goose Creek teachers miscount sparks board concern
Goose Creek trustees voiced dismay at a board meeting over a report claiming 92 teachers in the district lacked college degrees. A corrected audit found 18 nondegree teachers, 1.5 percent, with 12 current nondegree staff including five vocational or ROTC instructors and several long term substitutes. The district will resubmit to the state to fix the discrepancy.
